This gorgeous fabric advent calendar has been handmade by me using the Cosy Christmas fabric panel from Dashwood Studio.  Dashwood Studio is a UK based textile design company.  The panel is so cute and colourful and features 24 pockets, each decorated with festive theme, mainly cute animals such as a kitten in a gift bag or an ice skating penguin. This is perfect for any child or grown up!  
 
The pockets sit on a light grey backing panel that has colourful, Christmas themed items behind each pocket. The pockets are very roomy so there's plenty of room for treats if you have more than one child, perhaps you're. grandparent of a few little ones?
 
I have used a thin 2 ounce wadding to make the advent a little sturdier.  The back panel is red and white polka dot and is quilted with vertical lines and I have top stitched around the outside of the advent to prevent rolling. The hanging loops are made from gingham ribbon.  Please note the dowel rod and chocolates in the photos are not included.
