This is sewing kit that allows you to make your very own Christmas advent calendar that you can use every year! It is a great little project to do with a group of friends over a hot chocolate! It's quite an easy sewing project and can be completed in an afternoon, it can be hand sewn, but to save time I would recommend using a machine if you have one. There are some written instructions on the side of the panel, but I will email some extra instructions for extra guidance. Once you're done, you can fill it with your favourite treats, or fun Christmas activities to do.
This Christmas advent panel is called Cosy Christmas and is from Dashwood Studio. Dashwood Studio is a UK based textile design company. The panel is so cute and colourful and features 24 pockets, each decorated with festive theme, mainly cute animals such as a kitten in a gift bag or an ice skating penguin.
There is also a backing panel, which you attach the pockets to so the insides of the pockets are also colourful and festive.
There are a four different purchase options available, depending on how big your sewing stash is already.
Purchase options:
🧵 Panel only: this includes the pocket panel and the panel to sew the pockets onto only. You will need a backing fabric, some wadding (I have used 2oz) and some ribbon or extra fabric to make hanging loops.
I recommend this option if you have lots of spare fabrics and craft bits at home.

I recommend this option if you are new to sewing and haven't built up a big sewing stash yet.
🧵 Full kit: this includes everything you need to complete your project (except thread). It includes the pocket panel and the panel to sew the pockets onto only, the backing fabric (red and white polka dot) and some gingham ribbon and 2oz wadding. This thinner wadding gives the calendar enough body that it sits well against the wall but isn't too bulky that means it's difficult to sew with a regular sewing foot, or is hard to store away the rest of the year. This option is available on a different listing due to shipping costs.

🧵 The calendar is approximately 42cm wide (16 4/8 inches) wide and 73.5cm (29 inches) tall (not including the ribbon)

🧵 Each pocket is approximately 9.5cm wide (3 6/8 inches) and 10cm (4 inches) tall
