This cute little cosmetic case pattern is from Straight Stitch Society and is relatively easy to make so is suitable for beginners. The cosmetic case closes with a zip and is fully lined. The pattern suggests you use three different fabrics, one for the main pouch, one for the lining and one for the embellishments. It suggests 2 fat quarters but you will have fabric leftover from this, so if you have larger bits of scraps already this should be enough.
This would make a lovely gift for someone who loves to sew, or you could even make it as a gift for someone else.
